The process of reviewing a revision is straightforward:
Open the review:
Click on the specific review you want to assess. The document will open for your review.
Add feedback:
Once the document is opened, click on the section where you’d like to suggest a change or highlight an issue. A marker will appear at that precise location in the document. A comment box will also appear on the right side of the screen, where you can input your detailed feedback on the expected changes.
This system ensures that all suggestions are clearly associated with specific parts of the document, making the revision process more organized and effective.
General Comment
In addition to adding comments within the document, you can provide a General Comment. This is meant for feedback that applies to the entire document rather than specific sections. The General Comment should outline larger revisions required throughout the document, ensuring all reviewers understand the full scope of the changes and act accordingly.
Sending Feedback
Once you’ve finished reviewing the document and adding your comments, click “Send Feedback”. This will open a sidebar where you’ll be prompted to indicate whether the document is ready to be approved or still requires additional revisions. This helps formalize your feedback and streamlines the review process for others.
Important Note:
This feature may not be available to all users, especially if an admin flow is in place. In these cases, only document admins can approve or reject the review. Admins also manage comments, including deleting irrelevant or unnecessary ones and responding to feedback from non-admin users. To reply to a comment, admins can click the arrow next to the comment to open a reply option.
Admin Review and Approval
Admins are responsible for reviewing and approving comments submitted by non-admin users. Once a comment has been deemed appropriate, admins can approve it by clicking the checkmark next to the comment. Approved comments will change color to indicate they’ve been acknowledged.
You can easily ask questions or request further clarification by replying to an existing comment.
To do this:
Click on the arrow next to the comment you want to respond to.
This will open an option for you to leave a response, allowing you to ask for more details or explanations if necessary.
This feature ensures that any uncertainties about a comment can be addressed directly, making the review process clearer and more efficient.
Only after all comments—whether from admins or non-admins—are processed and reviewed can the document be considered for final approval. This ensures that the document undergoes a comprehensive and thorough review process, with no feedback overlooked.
